Affiliate Disclosure

SynthMatchmaker is free to use. We pay for it through affiliate commissions. This page explains what that means and how it affects what you see.

What an affiliate link is

Some links to AI companion apps are tracked affiliate links. If you click one and then sign up or buy a subscription, the app or its affiliate network may pay us a commission. You pay the same price you would pay going to the app directly. Affiliate links are marked in our code with rel="sponsored", as Google recommends.

Buttons such as "Get Offer", "Try Free", and "Visit" on companion cards and profiles are often affiliate links. Links to apps we do not have an affiliate relationship with are ordinary links, and we earn nothing from them.

What commissions do not affect

• Ratings. A company cannot buy a higher score, and commissions play no part in how we rate an app.
• The order of the main directory and feature pages. These are listed alphabetically.
• Feature data. Whether an app has voice chat, long-term memory, or image generation is recorded the same way for every app.

Where partners do get more visibility

To be clear about where commissions do shape the page:

• The "Featured Partner", "Top Alternative", and "Similar Companions" sections on companion pages only show apps we have an affiliate relationship with.
• On our gamer picks page, apps with affiliate links are shown before apps without them, and the top picks are chosen from affiliate partners.
• Some pages include affiliate links to browser games and other offers that are not AI companions.
