Who we are

SynthMatchmaker (synthmatchmaker.com) is an independent directory of AI companion apps. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean the operator of SynthMatchmaker. You can reach us through our contact page.

What we collect

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, or payment details through this site. If you use our contact form, we receive the name, email address, and message you enter, and use them only to reply to you.

We and the services listed below collect limited technical data when you visit:

• Server logs. Our web server records standard request data such as IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request. We use these logs to keep the site running and secure.
• Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are visited and how people find the site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect data such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and referring site. We use this in aggregate only.
• Session cookie. The site sets a session cookie needed for the interactive filters to work.

Affiliate links and tracking

Some outbound links are affiliate links (see our affiliate disclosure). When you click one, you leave our site and go through the affiliate network's tracking server to the app. That network and the app may set their own cookies or record a click identifier so they can tell that your visit came from us and pay us a commission if you sign up. Our links include a tracking label that identifies which page or app the click came from. We do not receive your name, email, or payment details from these networks, only aggregate reports of clicks and sign-ups.
